Navigating Road Closures During FIFA World Cup 2026
Staying at Hotel Willo means you’re right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. During large events at BC Place Stadium, such as the upcoming FIFA World Cup, nearby streets may experience temporary road closures, detours, and increased pedestrian activity.
We’re here to help you move around easily and enjoy your stay without stress.
On select event days, you may notice:
- Temporary road closures near BC Place Stadium
- Local traffic-only access in some streets
- Increased pedestrian zones and crowds
- Longer travel times in downtown Vancouver
- Adjusted vehicle access in surrounding areas
These changes are temporary and designed to keep the area safe and accessible.
Despite these temporary road closures, Hotel Willo remains accessible throughout the tournament period.
